{link party} The Creative Circle – Week 10

Welcome to The Creative Circle link party – a place to share and find inspiration for your home! How was your week, friends? I’ve been keeping busy working hard on my One Room Challenge project – the conversion of our under stair storage area into a playroom for our two boys. My week was spent shopping, but not at the typical places… I’ve been hitting up used music stores, plumbing supply aisles, and sheet metal fabricators. You can read my ORC Week 2 progress update here… but don’t got yet, because right now, it’s party time!

Feminine and storage for screws don’t naturally go together, but why shouldn’t us fabulous female  DIYer’s have a pretty place for our supplies?! The lovely makeover Katie, of Little House of Four, gave to this utilitarian metal storage cabinet makes me smile from ear to ear! #makeALLthethingspretty

If you know me, then you know I love all things little boy! I could have never imagined being a boy mom, but now that I am I have discovered that boys’ clothes and boys’ bedrooms are really so much fun! Kristi, of Making it in the Mountains, and I are both participating in the One Room Challenge this spring, and I adore the plans she has for her son’s “big boy” bedroom!

There are DIY projects in which we strive try achieve a designer look for less… and then there are other DIY’s that are so creative and unique that they far exceed any designer look I’ve ever seen. These gold leaf embellished curtains created by Brynne, of The Gathered Home, clearly fall in to that second category! They are jaw-droppingly gorgeous! #gildeverything
