I've heard from many of you that are now planning to add some leather belt drawer pulls to your dresser, but for those who love to the look but don't want to go as far as adding belts to your furniture...this post is for you! You all know that I love a good label and I'm always looking for new ways to make labels pretty, and this might just be my favorite label ... View the Post

First Birthday Mustache Bash!
I know probably every parent feels like the first year flies by, but I really can't believe that Cooper is one. ONE! It seems like just yesterday that I was announcing his birth here on the blog, and showing you precious photos of Beckett meeting his new little brother for the very first time {those photos still bring tears to my eyes!}. A couple of weekends ago we invited all of our family, and our friends with kids near Cooper's age, to help us celebrate this milestone birthday with a ... View the Post

{diy with style} Leather Belt Drawer Pulls
Last week I told you all about my first experience using chalk paint, and how I finally achieved the smooth finish I wanted for the dresser drawers in Beckett's new room, and now I'm here to share the second half the dresser drawer story - how we created custom drawer pulls from inexpensive belts. A few months ago I was browsing furniture stores {a favorite pastime} and came across the gorgeous Tremont Dresser at Arhaus. I immediately fell in love with the leather drawer ... View the Post
Super Dad & His Super Boys
I hope everyone out there had a wonderful Father's Day celebrating all of the special men in your lives! I wanted to take a brief break from posting about projects to share a few photos from our Father's Day weekend and tell you why my husband is a true Super Dad! As I write, Scott is at his first day of a new job, and I couldn't be more proud of him. Not because it's a great job {which it is!}, but because of the reasons he went in search of this new job in the first place - to have more ... View the Post
Five Minute Friday!
TGIF! I have a big announcement today that I am very excited about! So without further ado, let me introduce you to a new weekly feature on the blog that I am calling Five Minute Friday! I am always working on big projects around our house, whether they be decorating a room or organizing an entire closet. At the same time, however, there are just as many little projects that get done while my kids are eating lunch or while I'm chatting on the phone, and often times I struggle with whether those ... My First Time Using Chalk Paint – Challenges but Ultimate Success
Let me start by saying that I am no expert when it comes to painting furniture. In fact, that is an understatement! I had a bad experience back in law school when I cluelessly painted a cheap wood-laminate bookshelf using latex paint... the first coat went on ok, but when I tried to paint the second coat, each brush stroke just peeled up the paint from the first coat. It was a hot mess and I vowed that I would never paint furniture again! Fast forward ten years and I had gained a lot DIY ... View the Post
Duct Tape Bottle Wrappers

I'll share all of the photos from the celebration soon, but today I wanted to show you this super simple way to add some flair to any party...duct tape your beverages! I love to host parties and gatherings for our friends and family, but with so many gorgeous and over the top Pinterest parties out there for inspiration, it can sometimes feel overwhelming trying to decide how decorate and what to serve without letting ... {style inspiration} From the Set of Melissa & Joey
My husband thinks I'm a little crazy, but when we watch TV, I'm often paying closer attention to the interior design details than I am to the storyline. And when I'm flipping channels and see a gorgeous room, I'll often stop and watch just to check out the details of the layout and furnishings. That was the case recently when I ended up watching an episode of Melissa & Joey for the first time all because I caught a glimpse of a to-die-for couch! via I've seen a lot of button tufted ... DIY Numbered Storage Bins
Beckett is two and a half, and it is such a wonderful age! He is so curious and eager to learn new things, and he asks the best questions! He can sing the alphabet and counts really well, but he doesn't yet recognize all of the letters and numbers, so it was important to me, in planning the design for his new room, to find a way to incorporate the alphabet and numbers to help him learn. To stay true to the vintage vibe of the room, I created typewriter key alphabet flashcards that hang above the ... View the Post
