{mom’s style} Winter Wonderland Bedroom in Breckenridge
We are so lucky to live in colorful Colorado where we can enjoy a vibrant city life in Denver but can get away to the mountains any time we want. And we are luckier still that a few years ago my parent's built a vacation home in the gorgeous mountain town of Breckenridge. If you aren't familiar with Breckenridge, then let me just tell you that it is extremely deserving of it's place on the Forbes Top 5 list of America's Prettiest Towns. Last year, I launched a series called Mom's ... View the Post
What You Get for Valentine’s Day When You’re Married to a Blogger…
I hope everyone had a fantastic Valentine's Day, or simply an enjoyable Saturday if Valentine's is not your jam! Scott and I were originally going to stay home with our boys, but after finding a last minute babysitter, we left the house with no real plans other than to spend a few kid-free hours together. It ended up being a crazy evening that finally culminated with us having dinner and exchanging gifts around 11 pm. When the babysitter arrived, we left the house with no clear destination. ... Organizing Cords & Cables
I've been working on several big organizing projects recently, one of which is organizing all a hall closet that houses, among other things, all of our small electronics - everything from cameras and video cameras, to iPods, iPads and portable speaker. And every one of these items comes with at least one, if not two or more, cords and cables. The closet organizing project is still a work in progress, but I did just complete one key component - taming all of those cords and cables! I'm sure ... View the Post

I had a wonderful time visiting every post that was linked up - they were all so inspiring and it was so hard to pick my favorites {but I had to...so keep reading to see my top three}! This past week was full of some frustrations because I discovered that nearly all of the comments I was leaving on others' blogs were not being received. On some sites, my comments were ... {DIY with style} Framing Canvas Art with Trim Molding
When I came across two canvas prints - Watching Over NYC and Watching Over LA by Zoey Riley - on final closeout at Z Gallerie a year or so ago {they are now back, but in a more expensive glass coat versions}, I immediately knew they would be a key element in the master bedroom refresh I had been dreaming of. The shades of blue were perfect to tie in with our existing blue duvet that I wanted to keep, and the skylines set the perfect mood for the Modern Metro vibe I wanted in ... View the Post
Easy Toddler Art for Valentine’s Day
Are you are looking for a fun Valentine's art project to do with the kids or grandkids this weekend? I'm excited to show you this easy technique that my boys just LOVE! And best of all, this art project only takes about five minutes to prep! I've done a number of paintings over the years using tape to mask certain areas {like the painting by the back door in our kitchen}, and it recently occurred to me that this would be a really fun way to help my boys create art! SUPPLY LIST I raided my art ... View the Post

{DIY with style} How to Add Nailhead Trim to Furniture
When I began working on the redesign of our master bedroom, one of my main goals was to create a cozy reading space in bright corner by our two sliding glass doors. I found a fabulous new chair - the Meloni Arm Chair {affiliate link} that is not only gorgeous, but also met all of my criteria for comfy reading. An ottoman was also on my must-have list, but my budget was tight, so I ended up purchasing a super inexpensive, faux leather ottoman, and then I added just $10 worth of ... View the Post
